The Orams Captain’s Lounge has been providing the Westhaven Marine quarter with a place to meet, celebrate or have a quiet drink at the bar for several years.
Initially developed as a ‘home base’for boatpark members and visiting superyachts and crew, the Captain’s Lounge has become a sought after venue on the Auckland’s waterfront, offering a unique venue for corporate functions, cocktail parties and private celebrations.

With our exclusive boatpark setting, the Orams Captain’s Lounge offers three exceptional venue options:

The Study
With stunning views of the harbour and marina our luxury Study offers space for 12 people seated in lounge furniture. This versatile room can be set up for a private dinner or corporate meeting and has all your AV requirements.

Main Lounge & Bar
With capacity for 100 people seated or 150 people standing, the Orams Captain’s Lounge and Bar is a versatile and beautiful venue with 5-star amenities. Our unique over the water location and stunning harbour views makes for a truly memorable occasion from weddings to conferences, birthdays to AGM’s – all within 5 minutes of Auckland’s CBD.

An exciting and memorable venue that you have to see to believe! Orams Boatpark houses the largest boat dry-stack in the Southern Hemisphere. Your guest’s will be in awe of this dynamic space.

Each function is priced individually based on it’s size and duration.

Generally speaking, a price indication for The Study is $700.00 + GST for the day (depending on numbers) and the Main Lounge $850.00 + GST for the day.

There is no in-house catering, it is all out-sourced and delivered on the day. The client has the option to select their preferred catering company, otherwise Orams can make recommendations


Included in the venue hire price is Orams AV package which consists of data projector, large screen, small audio speakers, flipchart and whiteboard.


Up to six on-site car parks can be provided inside Orams Boatpark building. Additional car parking can be found in the public underground car park under Victory Church, just a 5 minute walk down Beaumont St from the venue.
